How to install WordPress in cPanel ? : WordPress is a free and open-source content management system written in PHP and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database. WordPress helps us to build blogs/websites easily.

First of all you need a domain name and hosting to build a website or Install WordPress. Hosting and domain name is most important basic things to get start. You can visit Best Hosting page to find best and reliable hosting and domain name for you.

We don’t need even coding knowledge to build website. If you have knowledge about coding language like: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Php. WordPress will boost your work on website projects.

We will get theme installation option, plugin installation option in WordPress which helps us to build our websites. Theme and plugin helps us to build complete all kinds of website. Like: Blogs, Portfolio website, Business Website, eCommerce website, Multi vendor eCommerce website, Online course website, Food delivery website, Ads/Business listing website etc.

We can install for FREE on our hosting cPanel. Now i am going to tell how to install WordPress in cPanel. There is 2 different methods to install WordPress in cPanel. I have written below step by step process to install WordPress.

Method 1 : How to install WordPress in cPanel? with Softaculous Apps Installer

To install WordPress with Softaculous Apps Installer you have to follow these steps.

Step 01 : Log in to your cPanel and Scroll to Softaculous Apps Installer

Step 02: Choose WordPress
Step 03: Click on Install Now.
Now you will see installation setup page like this.

Step 04 : 01. Always Choose https:// Protocol (Note: Yo have to install SSL Certificate for https enable for SSL Install you may read my this Article : How to setup cloudflare free in 2021 ? – WEBnerd )
02. Choose your domain without www
03. Leave blank in Directory field. (If you type anything in directory your site url will be https://yourdomainname.com/yourindirectory )
04: Choose higher version of WordPress to install.

Step 05 : In Site Settings
01: Type your Site Name
02: Type your site description
03: leave uptick on WPMU and Disable WordPress Cron

Step 06 : Admin Account
01: Type your admin username
02: Set your Admin Password
03: You can add your costume email address or you can create a business email with your domain name. (For create business email you may read this my article : How to create Free business email with domain ? – WEBnerd )

Step 07 : Choose language which language do you prefer. I recommend to use default English language.
Leave as it is in select plugin(s) tab

Step 08 : In this Advance Options tab
01: Database Name: You can set your database name or leave it as default name. You may select Auto upgrade WordPress Plugins and Auto upgrade WordPress Themes Options.
Step 09 : In Table Prefix : You can set your table prefix name or leave is as default. You can select auto upgrade conditions.

Theme Options in WordPress

Step 10 : Now you have to click on Install button.
After complete 100% of installations of WordPress you will get 2 urls. 1 is your website url link and 2nd is you admin panel link. If some error have been came there will notice what is error in installation process. You have to fix mentioned errors and retry to install WordPress.

Method 2 : How to install WordPress in cPanel? without Softaculous Apps Installer

In method 1 we have learned install WordPress with softaculous apps Installer. If you couldn’t found any apps installer in your cPanel don’t worry you can install WordPress in different methods of installation process. Now we are going to learn how install WordPress in cPanel without softaculous apps Installer. You have to follow these steps.

Step 01 : Go to https://wordpress.org/

Step 02 : Click on Get WordPress Button.
Step 03 : Scroll down to download button and download WordPress.
You will get WordPress in Zip file.
Step 04 : Go to your cPanel. and go to file manager

Step 05 : Open Public_Html folder. and upload downloaded WordPress Zip file.
01. Click on upload on top bar menu.
02. Select zip file or drag and drop to upload.
03. After 100% success upload click on go back link.

Step 06 : You have to extract zip file in public_html folder. and delete zip file to keep your site data small.
Step 07: You have move content of WordPress folder in public_html main folder and delete WordPress folder.

WordPress is installed on your Website. Now you have to do some configurations for admin setup.

How to setup Admin in WordPress ?

Step 01 : Type your site url on browser. You will see interface like this.

Step 02: Choose language.
Step 03: You have to enter your Datebase name, Username, Password to access your websites hosting database.

Step 04 : Click on Submit after entering your database details correctly.
Step 05 : Now to you will asked to fill some setup details you have to fill
01: Site Title
02: Admin username for WordPress
03: Admin Password
04: Your costume admin email
05: Never tick on Discourage search engines from indexing this site if you want to get index by search engine.
06: Click on Install WordPress.
(I have already mentioned this steps in method 1)

Congratulations ! Your WordPress is installed on your site.

How to remove installed WordPress ?

If you think you are going to not using WordPress or you have to quite work on WordPress you can remove easily with one single step. If you have installed via app installer. Go to cPanel and scroll down to app installer and select WordPress. and click on delete option like this.

If you have installed WordPress without App installer. Go to cPanel file manager. Delete all the WordPress related content and files of public_html. Your WordPress will be delete.

Note: Delete of WordPress doesn’t create a backup to restore letter. We can create backup before applying delete.

How to create back up WordPress Website ?

Go to cPanel file manager and open public_html folder and select all and compress all with compress tools of top bar menu. After compressed select compressed file and click on download tools of top bar menu. Keep safely downloaded files and you may restore your WordPress site letter whenever you want.

To restore Your backup WordPress Website please follow all the steps of Method 02. Just replace WordPress software file with your backup data files.
